...Les fenêtres hautes de la nef et du chœur de Notre-Dame de Reims, bien que construites vers le milieu du XIIIe siècle, ont consacré le principe admis par l'architecte primitif de cet incomparable édifice. Ces fenêtres, indiquées d'ailleurs dans le croquis de Villard de Honnecourt antérieurement à la reprise des travaux de la cathédrale en 1241, appartiennent ainsi comme composition à une époque plus ancienne. Elles se composent d'un meneau central portant deux tiers-points avec un œil subdivisé par des redents à six lobes (2). Les meneaux reproduisent sur une plus grande largeur ceux des chapelles...
