Ta'izz (Arabic: تعز), or Taiz, is a ceety in the Yemeni Heichlands, near the famous Mocha port on the Reid Sea, lyin at an elevation o aboot 1,400 metres abuin sea level. It is the caipital o Ta'izz Govrenorate. Wi a population o ower 600,000 in 2005, it is the third lairgest ceety in Yemen efter the caipital Sana'a an the soothren port o Aden.
