It was founded in November 2017, led by the former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science and Higher Education Jarosław Gowin,[3] as an expansion of Gowin's previous party, Poland Together, before changing its name. It was allied with the ruling party of Poland, Law and Justice (PiS), as part of the United Right[4] until August 2021.[5] Its current leader is Stanisław Derehajło.[6]
