Category:Overpopulated categories
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Categories that contain too many pages, and require attention to reduce their size, are listed here. If suitable subcategories do not exist, they should be created; pages should then be re-categorized as appropriate.
This is a maintenance category, used for maintenance of the Wikipedia project. It is not part of the encyclopedia and contains non-article pages, or groups articles by status rather than subject. Do not include this category in content categories. This is a container category. Due to its scope, it should only contain subcategories.
This is a tracking category. It builds and maintains a list of pages primarily for the sake of the list itself. They are not part of the encyclopedia's categorization scheme.

Use {{Overpopulated category}} to add a category here. If a category requires constant maintenance, rather than a one-time recategorization, use {{Category diffuse}} instead. Some categories intentionally contain many pages, such as categories populated by certain templates; these categories do not need to be tagged.
