St Cathrine's Church was once a royal church and a daughter of King John of England, Princess Joan (Siwan)the wife of Llywelyn the Great, was buried here in 1237. Her empty stone coffin is now kept in the porch of the Church of St Mary and St Nicholas in the near-by town of Beaumaris. |
