Gaynsky District (Russian: Га́йнский райо́н; Komi-Permyak: Гайна район, Gajna rajon) is an administrative district (raion) of Komi-Permyak Okrug of Perm Krai, Russia; one of the thirty-three in the krai.[1] As a municipal division, it is incorporated as Gaynsky Municipal District.[5] It is located in the northwest of the krai. The area of the district is 14,928 square kilometers (5,764 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a settlement) of Gayny.[1] Population: 13,802 (2010 Russian census);[3] 17,351 (2002 Census);[7] 21,477 (1989 Soviet census).[8] The population of Gayny accounts for 29.9% of the district's total population.[3]
