Sasovsky District

Sasovsky District (Russian: Са́совский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[6] district (raion), one of the twenty-five in Ryazan Oblast, Russia. It is located in the east of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,819 square kilometers (702 sq mi).[3] Its administrative center is the town of Sasovo[2] (which is not administratively a part of the district).[1] Population: 18,504 (2010 Census);[4] 21,012 (2002 Census);[8] 26,665 (1989 Soviet census).[9]
