Template:Referred elsewhere
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Not an issue for Referred elsewhere. Referred elsewhere.
"Template:NOTHERE" redirects here. For the template used to indicate that a user has been absent for a long time, see Template:Not around. For the blocking template for users who are not here to build an encyclopedia, see Template:Uw-nothereblock.
Purpose
The purpose of the "Referred elsewhere" tag is to give a visual hint to readers of talk page items, making it easier to ignore issues that need to be moved to another forum, after the involved parties have been advised. It is hoped that the existence of such a tag will make it easier to find active items on a page still needing attention.
The "Referred elsewhere" tag is not final and does not necessarily close a conversation. If the parties decide that this is in fact an issue for the page or forum being used the tag may be removed and discussion may proceed.
Usage
Place the following under the topic heading on a talk page:
{{Referred elsewhere|A brief explanation of the reason for tag}}
Not an issue for Referred elsewhere. Referred elsewhere
āā A brief explanation of the reason for tag
|page=
can be used to customize the page name:
{{Referred elsewhere|page=this noticeboard}}
Not an issue for this noticeboard. Referred elsewhere.
