Hermod of Hermóðr was in de Noordse mythologie een zoon van Odin en Frigg en trad op als boodschapper van de goden. Hij ging op Odins achtbenige paard Sleipnir naar de burcht van Hel om zijn broer Baldr van de dood te bevrijden.
