Het wereldkampioenschap curling voor mannen 1961 werd van 21 tot en met 30 maart 1961 gehouden in Schotland. Canada wist de finale te winnen van het gastland, en werd zo voor de derde keer op rij wereldkampioen.
Overzicht
De derde editie van het wereldkampioenschap werd gespeeld in een recordaantal van vier steden: de openingswedstrijd vond plaats in Ayr, de tweede en derde dag werd er gespeeld in Kirkcaldy en de groepsfase werd beëindigd in Perth. De eindfase van het toernooi werd dan weer afgewerkt in Edinburgh.
Met de Verenigde Staten als debutant werd er voor het eerst met drie landen gespeeld. Na afloop van de groepsfase hadden alle landen twee wedstrijden gewonnen en twee wedstrijden verloren. Hierdoor was een halve finale noodzakelijk tussen Canada en de Verenigde Staten, om uit te maken wie Schotland mocht vervoegen in de finale. Canada won deze wedstrijd en vervolgens ook de finale, en werd zo voor de derde maal wereldkampioen.
