The 1891 Mino–Owari earthquake (Japanese: 濃尾地震) is an earthquake that occurred on October 28, 1891 in Japan.[1] The epicenter was 35.6°N 136.6°E / 35.6; 136.6, Surface wave magnitude was 8.0.[2] This earthquake is the largest inland earthquake in Japanese history.[3] The quake killed 7,273 people.[4]
