Central District (Qeshm County)

The Central District of Qeshm County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان قشم) is in Hormozgan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Qeshm.[3]

At the National Census in 2006, its population was 68,070 in 15,180 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 78,369 people in 19,527 households.[5] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 104,955 inhabitants in 28,874 households.[2]
After the 2016 census, the villages of Laft and Ramkan in the Central District were elevated to the status of cities.[6]
In May 2017, Larak Rural District was transferred from Shahab District to the Central District.[7]
