Yusof Mohamed Alam

Pengiran Anak Mohammad Yusof (24 June 1948 – 13 December 2004) was a nobleman and formerly a civil servant from Brunei who became the prince consort to Princess Nor'ain in 1967, and brother to Queen Saleha. He had previously served as the Chief (Yang Di-Pertua) of Jabatan Adat Istiadat Negara, and was a member of several state councils.[1]
In this Malay name, there is no surname or family name. The name Pengiran Anak Mohamed Alam is a patronymic, and the person should be referred to by their given name, Pengiran Anak Mohammad Yusof. The word "bin" or "binti"/"binte" means 'son of' or 'daughter of', respectively.
