Sahawiq (Yemeni Arabic: سَحاوِق, IPA: [saħaːwiq][1]) zhoug or zhug (from Judeo-Yemenite Arabic سحوق or זחוק IPA: [zħuːq][2] through Hebrew: סְחוּג, romanized: s'ḥug) is a hot sauce originating in Yemeni cuisine.
