Ismail Abdel Salam Ahmed Haniyeh (Arabic: إسماعيل عبد السلام أحمد هنية; sometimes transliterated as Haniya, Haniyah, or Hanieh; born 29 January 1962) is a senior political leader of Hamas. He was the disputed Prime Minister of the Palestinian National Authority.[2] In September 2017, he became Chief of Hamas's Political Bureau.[3]
