Chet Brandenburg

James Chester Brandenburg (October 15, 1897[1] – July 17, 1974) was an American actor and stuntman.[2] He appeared in 436 films and television programs between 1924 and 1968.

Brandenburg was born in Peoria, Illinois and died in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles. He was the brother of actor Ed Brandenburg.[citation needed]
Brandenburg appeared on the TV western series Gunsmoke, in numerous uncredited roles, including as a townsman in the 1960 episode “The Blacksmith” (S6E2), the 1962 episode “False Front” (S18E15) & the 1963 episode “Kate Heller” (S9E1); as a party guest in the episode “Say Uncle” (S6 E4).
