Chyżne [ˈxɨʐnɛ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Jabłonka, within Nowy Targ County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in southern Poland, close to the border with Slovakia. It lies approximately 6 kilometres (4 mi) south of Jabłonka, 33 km (21 mi) west of Nowy Targ, and 100 km (62 mi) south of the regional capital Kraków.[1]

The village lies in the drainage basin of the Black Sea (through Orava, Váh and Danube rivers), in the historical region of Orava (Polish: Orawa).
