Georgios Babiniotis (Greek: Γεώργιος Μπαμπινιώτης; born 6 January 1939) is a Greek linguist and philologist and former Minister of Education and Religious Affairs of Greece.[1] He previously served as rector of Athens University. As a linguist, he is best known as the author of a Dictionary of Modern Greek (Λεξικό της νέας ελληνικής γλώσσας), which was published in 1998.[2]
