Josimar Higino Pereira (born 19 September 1961), more commonly known as Josimar, is a Brazilian former footballer. Throughout his career, he played as a right-back, mainly with Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas and the Brazil national team.[1][2][3] In his prime, he was named the best right-back in the world by FIFA.[1] He is currently assistant coach at Botafogo.
In this Portuguese name, the first or maternal family name is Higino and the second or paternal family name is Pereira.
