José Antonio Álvarez Lima

José Antonio Álvarez Lima (born May 3, 1942)[1] is a Mexican politician and senator representing the state of Tlaxcala in the LXIV Legislature of the Mexican Congress. A member of the National Regeneration Movement (MORENA) political party, Álvarez Lima was also Governor of Tlaxcala from 1993 to 1999 and previously served as a federal deputy, senator, ambassador to Colombia, and head of multiple national public broadcasters.
In this Spanish name, the first or paternal surname is Álvarez and the second or maternal family name is Lima.
