Leiwen is a municipality in the Trier-Saarburg district, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is within a ten-mile radius of the city of Trier. Leiwen is one of the most significant wine growing municipalities on the Moselle river.[3] The village is located on the banks of the river Moselle.
