Lukhovitsky District

Lukhovitsky District (Russian: Лухови́цкий райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[2] district (raion), one of the thirty-six districts in Moscow Oblast, Russia. It is located in the southeast of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,340.52 square kilometers (517.58 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the town of Lukhovitsy.[1] Population: 58,802 (2010 Census);[3] 63,235 (2002 Census);[7] 65,534 (1989 Soviet census).[8] The population of Lukhovitsy accounts for 50.8% of the district's total population.[3]
