Minabad (Persian: مين اباد), also Romanized as Mīnābād; also known as Mayāvar, Menabad, Mīnāābād, Minavar, and Mīnvar,[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Minabad Rural District of Anbaran District, Namin County, Ardabil province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 census, its population was 1,311 in 306 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 1,177 people in 338 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,139 people in 320 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]
