Neola North Fire

The Neola North Fire was a major wildfire which occurred in the Ashley National Forest in northeastern Utah. It was blamed for three fatalities,[1] the destruction of at least 12 homes,[2] the burning of 43,511 acres (176 km2) of land,[3] and led to the evacuation of about 500 local residents.[4]

At its peak the wildfire was fought by more than 700 firefighters,[5] and gained extensive media attention in the United States[6] and limited attention internationally.[7]
