Olga (Church Slavonic: Ольга;[2][lower-alpha 1] Old Norse: Helga;[3] c. 890–925 – 11 July 969)[4] was a regent of Kievan Rus' for her son Sviatoslav from 945 until 960. Following her baptism, Olga took the name Elenа.[lower-alpha 2] She is known for her subjugation of the Drevlians, a tribe that had killed her husband Igor.
