Orenburgsky District

Orenburgsky District (Russian: Оренбу́ргский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[6] district (raion), one of the thirty-five in Orenburg Oblast, Russia. It is located in the center of the oblast. The area of the district is 5,500 square kilometers (2,100 sq mi).[3] Its administrative center is the city of Orenburg[2] (which is not administratively a part of the district).[8] Population: 74,404 (2010 Census);[4] 65,130 (2002 Census);[9] 58,882 (1989 Soviet census).[10]
