Sarayevsky District

Sarayevsky District (Russian: Сара́евский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[7] district (raion), one of the twenty-five in Ryazan Oblast, Russia. It is located in the south of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,117 square kilometers (817 sq mi).[3] Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Sarai.[2] Population: 17,810 (2010 Census);[4] 22,725 (2002 Census);[9] 28,819 (1989 Soviet census).[10] The population of Sarai accounts for 32.6% of the district's total population.[4]
