Shuysky District

Shuysky District (Russian: Шу́йский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-one in Ivanovo Oblast, Russia.[4] It is located in the center of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,065 square kilometers (411 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the town of Shuya[1] (which is not administratively a part of the district).[7] Population: 20,111 (2021 Census);[8] 21,682 (2010 Russian census);[3] 23,660 (2002 Census);[9] 24,400 (1989 Soviet census).[10]
