Starooskolsky District

Starooskolsky District (Russian: Старооско́льский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion), one of the twenty-one in Belgorod Oblast, Russia.[1] It is located in the north of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,694 square kilometers (654 sq mi).[3] Its administrative center is the city of Stary Oskol[2] (which is not administratively a part of the district).[1] Population: 35,457 (2010 Russian census);[4] 35,063 (2002 Census);[9] 35,266 (1989 Soviet census).[10]
