Urengoy (Russian: Уренго́й; Nenets: Пюра ңо, Pjura ŋo) is an urban locality (an urban-type settlement) in Purovsky District of Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Russia. Population: 5,845 (2021 Census);[1] 10,066 (2010 Russian census);[2] 9,329 (2002 Census);[3] 11,868 (1989 Soviet census).[4]
