Viktor Anfilov

Viktor Aleksandrovich Anfilov (Russian: Виктор Александрович Анфилов; 10 July 1919[1] – 13 February 2002) was a Russian military officer and historian.[2] He earned the degree of Doctor of Historical Sciences in 1973, became a professor in 1975[3] and was awarded the honorary title of Honoured Scientist of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic [ru] in 1990. He rose to the rank of colonel, and saw action on the Eastern Front in World War II.[4]
