Volzhsky or Volzhskiy (Russian: Волжский, IPA: [ˈvolʂskʲɪj]) is an industrial town in Volgograd Oblast, Russia, located on the east bank of the Volga River and its distributary the Akhtuba, 20 kilometers (12 mi) northeast of Volgograd. Population: 321,427 (2021 Census);[10] 314,255 (2010 Russian census);[3] 313,169 (2002 Census);[11] 268,842 (1989 Soviet census).[12]
