Le championnat du Tadjikistan de football a été créé en 1992.
La saison 2020 est marquée par la suspension du Championnat, le 25 avril par la Fédération du Tadjikistan de football, en raison de la pandémie de maladie à coronavirus ; alors que toutes les principales compétitions mondiales de football étaient déjà provisoirement arrêtées depuis quelques semaines ; hormis les premières divisions masculines de quelques pays comme Biélorussie, Nicaragua, Taïwan, Turkménistan et Tadjikistan[1]. La reprise de l'épreuve est programmée pour le [2],[3].
