Thay are heterotrophic (thay aet ither organisms tae mak fuid) an thay mak mycelium. Thay differ fae fungi in thair structure, fer example oomycetes hae twa flagella while fungi hae juist wan (in Chytridiomycetes) or nae flagella in maist fungi. Oomycetes also haena chitin in thair cell waws, an haena septations except whiles atween cells in the sporangia.[3]
