Jacques-René de Brisay de Denonville, Marquis de Denonville (10 December 1637 – 22 September 1710) was a governor of New France. He was important during the Beaver Wars. He arrived in the colonies when there was much conflict between the Irouquois and the English. He led an attack against the Seneca people in 1687. He destroyed many towns.[1][2]
